A personal choice?

Most greedy meat-eaters have the habit of saying, "It's okay if you want to be a vegetarian. I can understand your love for animals. But you should also respect my right to eat meat, because it is a matter of personal choice." Now, this is a really very very stupid argument. How can it be a matter of personal choice when you are killing MY friends and killing the animals I love so much?

What exactly is a personal choice?

A personal choice always has to be personal. If a man likes to swim and spends two hours swimming at the river each day, he is free to do it and no one has the right to interfere because it is his personal choice. But, if a man likes hunting and goes to the forest to hunt, we have the right to stop him because what he is doing is harmful for the environment and other creatures. That's why, as long as your choice is personal, no one has the right to interfere with your lifestyle. But, if it is not personal, others have the right to tell you to change and even use force if necessary. Also, most meat-eaters try to ignore the fact that animals have personal choices too. Their choice is to stay alive. The animal's choice to stay alive can never be more important than your choice to kill and eat it.
